Juniors

We have a thriving and enthusiastic group of juniors, made up of 13 to 18 year old boys and girls. The squad prides itself on being very welcoming and friendly!

We train Mondays and Wednesdays 6pm-8pm, and Saturdays and Sundays 10am-12pm

Competitive rowing does require commitment and motivation so it is important that juniors are self motivated. We find that our juniors are capable of balancing their schoolwork with their rowing.

How do I get involved? Contant our Junior Co-ordinator Claire Dawson.

Seniors

Just moved to the area and looking for somewhere to row?

Or perhaps you've seen a bunch of lunatics ploughing up and down the river in the cold and wet and thought it looked like fun!

Either way you are welcome to join us.

We like to strike a balance between competing at the highest levels of domestic club rowing (The Head of the River, Men's and Women's Henley and the National Championships), as well as take part in the more fun regattas throughout the summer.

Coxing

We always welcome new folks to cox. Enjoy weekends on the river, but don't necessarily want to row?  Want to join in the fun of the summer regattas and events?  Like the feeling of steering a crew through competitive races?  This is your place!

Family and volunteers

Staines Boat Club is run entirely by volunteers and we are keen to involve parents, spouses, friends and family in the club.

Please come and join us for tea or coffee in the clubhouse during or after training sessions, and to talk to the coaches and coordinators.

We value the support of families and their input to the club.
