Quintin Head

Our Senior Women's Squad entered an 8+ into Quintin Head, this was the club's first race in 2020. Due to the river conditions at Staines being on Red boards for most of the winter season it has been impossible for our crews to train on the water.

It was a cold and very grey day (see the pictures - they've not got a greyscale filter on them!), but the water was relatively calm. Quintin Head is approximately 4800m raced on the incoming tide between Hammersmith Bridge to White Davit (650m past Chiswick Bridge) which is the opposite way round to most Tideway races.

Our Women's squad were in Intermediate 2, and came 6th out of 11 crews, putting them in a good position for their WEHORR campaign this year.
