At Staines Boat Club we have a history of working with local businesses, large and small. 

 

We would be very interested in developing a relationship with more local businesses – here is a list of ways to get involved.

Team Building Days – we have hosted many team building days over the last few years for a variety of local and City based companies including an NHS hospital and Lloyds Register.  Each day is specifically designed to suit your group of people, your needs and your objectives.  Rowing is a real leveller and the boat will only go faster if you work together as a crew – making it ideal for a team building exercise.

Most days have included land based training and competitions, lunch, water based training and races on the water.  We are able to involve team members who can’t undertake physical activity – making them part of the day, giving them a role and ensuring they are part of the team.  We can organise for the bar to be open at the end of the day, a BBQ dinner or organise a meal at a local pub.  Just contact us and we will develop something suitable just for you and your team events@stainesboatclub.co.uk

Active Workforce - we recognise that many companies are concerned about the level of activity that their staff undertake.  We offer a package (that can be tailored to suit your company’s needs) that promotes active living and gets your staff fitter and happier!

The Active Workforce programme would involve using our qualified coaches to run a learn to row programme during a lunchtime each week, for a period of approximately 8 weeks.  Once this course is complete the rowers can then join our leisure rowing sessions through a Corporate Membership package.  Each session is led by a qualified coach and is focussed on having fun on the water, continuing to develop skills and being active! learn2row@stainesboatclub.co.uk

Oarsome Foursomes - this is a fun programme we run in August specifically for groups of friends or colleagues.  Each team of four will have four training sessions and then compete against each other in fancy dress in a mini regatta.  This is all about fun, learning something new and enjoying yourselves with friends oarsome4some@stainesboatclub.co.uk Please visit the Oarsome Foursomes page from the menu for more information.

Corporate Sponsorship

We have had considerable success in raising the funds to allow the new Clubhouse project to begin.  As we enter the active phase of the building project we are looking for funding in the form of grants and, in particular, the support and sponsorship of local companies.

​

We have created a variety of different types of sponsorship ‘packages’ ranging from £2,500 upwards.  The packages ensure that the sponsor gains commercial benefit, but they are only a guide – we are happy to discuss specific thoughts, ideas and proposals.

​

Staines Boat Club plays a core role in bringing together members of the local community – from schools, to voluntary organisations, companies and local authorities.  Being associated with all these attributes would be hugely positive for any company.

​

In terms of exposure for your company the boat club is on the banks of the River Thames opposite Staines town, visible to all who are walking along the Thames Path, travelling in and out of London on the train and travelling on the Staines road bridge.  Our 400 members with their friends and family use the club regularly whether for rowing or social events.  So all in all we’re certain that companies would gain extremely valuable exposure and very positive community-relationship benefits of association with SBC.

Clubroom for Hire on a regular basis

Are you interested in hiring our large clubroom overlooking the river, on a regular basis?  We have a large, spacious, ventilated clubroom with large balcony that overlooks the river.  We would be happy to hire it to interested parties during the week on a regular basis.  For further information please email secretary@stainesboatclub.co.uk
