
Quintin Head
Our Senior Women's Squad entered an 8+ into Quintin Head, this was the club's first race in 2020. Due to the river conditions at Staines being on Red boards for most of the winter season it has been impossible for our crews to train on the water. It was a cold and very grey day (see the pictures - they've not got a greyscale filter on them!), but the water was relatively calm. Roy Dauncey Challenge Trophy
One of our oldest members Roy Dauncey, who recently celebrated his 90th birthday, was presented with a trophy by his friends at the club, in recognition of all his work for the Staines Regatta and his coaching of novices at the club over many decades. The trophy will be awarded each year at the Staines Amateur Regatta to the winners of the lowest ranked Men's and Women's coxed fours competition. Thank you Roy for all your hard work at the club.

CrossFit Strength in Depth 2020
Staines Boat Club are providing 3 boats and volunteers at CrossFit Strength in Depth 2020 Competition at the Excel Centre at the Royal Docks. As part of the competition the boats will have 1 competitor in the stroke seat and an experienced rower in the bow seat to only keep it straight and level, the competitors will compete in a time trial as event no. 3 of 7 over the weekend.
