Boating Restrictions – Update

The Environment Agency has now updated their advice prohibiting all but essential river use. This means that the current ban on using Club single sculls has been extended to privately owned single sculls too. We will continue to monitor the restrictions and bans in place and will look to ease boating and training restrictions as soon as it is considered safe. In the meantime, to stay fit, please join in the online fitness sessions being run by Maddie Shoolbread on Monday and Wednesday evenings and possibly also at the weekends. Details posted on the Club Facebook page on 22nd March. The most important thing remains that all club members and their families stay as safe as possible. Alan Dougl

Henley 2020 Cancelled

Another Rowing Event falls victim to the 2020 curse. The beginning of the year saw events cancelled due to storms and flooding, then along came COVID-19. The Committee has considered the current situation and the available guidance and approved those measures set out below to be taken by the Club in order to reduce the risk of infection within the Club’s membership and from

Covid-19 and SBC

At the moment, with all the Coronavirus infections going around, we would ask everyone who comes down to the Club to take a number of sensible precautions. While most of the people who come down to the Club are fit and healthy, not everyone that we meet elsewhere is so fortunate, be it family, friends or random strangers we pass in the street. Please take extra time to wash your hands properly, avoid physical contact with others, clean ergos after use, etc. If you think you might be infected, let your coach know and please do not come down. Aside from the general risk of infecting people, we have crews entered in the Schools Head and Veterans Head next weekend and they have been training har
