Roy Dauncey

I am saddened to have to inform everyone that Roy Dauncey passed away last night. I have passed on the deepest condolences to Rob Dauncey and the rest of Roy's family. Roy was one of the longest standing members of the Club and well loved and respected for all he has done over the years for Rowing and the Club. At his 90th Birthday celebration last November he was presented with a new trophy for Staines Amateur Regatta, The Roy Dauncey Challenge Trophy for Coxed Fours in recognition of all his work over the years. A fitting legacy for such a man. Funeral details will be provided in due course.
