Reading Town Regatta

The senior women's squad entered into Reading Town Regatta expecting it to be a lot smaller than the international 300+ crews event it turned out to be! After their entry for the coxless 4 was rejected due to no opposition they entered 3 categories: Coxed Four, Quad and an Eight.

Racing 3 abreast over 800m makes for some very interesting watching. The coxed Four and Quad unfortunately didn't make it through to the final.

The Eight beat both Cambridge 99' and Tethys (Oxford University Lightweights) by 3 1/2 lengths to progress to the final against Reading and Green Lake (USA). It was a tough final and they finished 2nd to Green Lake (USA).
