Club Closure

Happy New Year everyone

I hope you are all safe and well and had a good Christmas and New Year.

Unfortunately, I have to start the New Year by informing you that with immediate effect Staines Boat Club is closed to all indoor and outdoor rowing and training activities. This is to ensure we are compliant with the recent Government lockdown announcement and updated British Rowing guidance. Please do not go to the Club to collect any personal belongings.

Given the nature of the Government announcement, I am unable to give you any clarity as to how long this closure will remain in force. Rest assured that I, and the Committee, will be looking to reopen the Club and recommence rowing activities as soon as is permitted.

Please contact your coaches and squad coordinators to see what training programs they are going to put in place during this latest lockdown. I share your frustrations with this latest closure but our priority is to ensure your safety.
